Physical Therapist / Personal Trainer
I value assessing each person's body and choosing the methods they need now.
I have my own background in competitive sport. But having competed and being able to coach each person's body safely are not the same thing. Age, exercise history, flexibility, past injuries, and daily life differ greatly from person to person. What matters is not imposing the coach's own experience, but carefully assessing your body and choosing what it needs now. Drawing on a physical therapist's assessment skills and broad coaching experience, and with attention to scientific evidence, I propose methods suited to each individual. Whether you are new to exercise or anxious about your body, I will support you carefully, with safety first.

Career
Career & Coaching Experience
Built experience as a physical therapist across hospitals, clinics, home-visit medical care, and elder care. Has coached a wide range of clients — from exercise beginners and everyday clients to seniors, junior athletes, and competitive athletes — always tailoring support to each person's condition and goals.
Active since the early 2000s, before personal training was widely recognized in Japan, refining his skills as both a personal trainer and a physical therapist. Combining experience from medical, sports, and fitness settings, he founded ZEN PRIVATE GYM, where one expert consistently provides both training and body care.
Experience
Experience Built Over Two Decades
Our founder has worked as a personal trainer since the early 2000s, before personal training was widely known in Japan.
In the fitness field, he has focused on delivering results, client satisfaction, and constantly refining the quality of his service — working with everyone from everyday clients and seniors to junior athletes and competitive athletes.
As a physical therapist, he has also built experience in hospitals, clinics, home-visit medical care, and elder care — working with bodies recovering from injury and illness, chronic discomfort, age-related decline, and returns to sport.
Credentials and experience are not things to simply hold. He continues to study current research and attend training to keep offering each client better methods.
Approach
Coaching Philosophy
For beginners, I carefully teach everything from form to how to use your body. The “right way to move” depends on each person's physical condition. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, we check your current state and work out a safe way forward together.
By combining my experience assessing bodies as a physical therapist with my experience coaching exercise as a personal trainer, I provide both training and restoration in one place. If you have physical discomfort, I will support you with safety as the top priority.
